Non-Profit Societies
Ask a Law Student
Legal Self Assessment and Learning Tool
A simple and accessible digital platform that helps non-profits and charities understand their legal obligations and compliance under BC law. This tool is for non-profits operating in BC. No legal knowledge required.
The LSALT is still under development, but we invite you to try it out and share your feedback!
PLEO offers an Ask A Law Student service supervised by a lawyer where you can receive answers to your legal information and education questions! Inquiries about Societies Act compliance, Charitable status applications, disputes before the Civil Resolution Tribunal, and more are welcome! Our trained and supervised law student volunteers will research and respond as quickly as they can.
